macOS Monterey features

With the new updates in macOS 12, FaceTime is going to get more powerful and tightly integrated with the Apple ecosystem. You will now be able to generate Google and Zoom-style links to a video chat. The highlight is that anyone will be able to join the video call from any platform if they have a FaceTime link. Also, you will now be able to use Portrait mode while making a FaceTime call from Mac. This new feature allows you to watch movies and listen to music together with your friends, and you can even share your iPhone screen. It’s just like a Watch Party but on iPhone.

  Focus Mode:

Focus mode lets you choose which notification you want to reach. Focus mode also provides 4 different sections you can choose from Sleep, Work, Personal, and DND.

So, if you don’t know what AirPlay is, then we are here, don’t worry. AirPlay is Apple’s wireless protocol. It is a feature that allows you to cast your iPhone screen wirelessly on any other Apple device. AirPlay can work over different connections like mobile data, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. But if you want a stable connection, then connect all the devices to the same Wi-Fi network.

Before the new macOS Monterey, AirPlay could only connect to devices like Apple Tv and HomePod. But now, Macs can become receivers for AirPlay too.
